Committees
Fyrfad is an enthousiastic student sportassociation, but not without help from our members! We need YOU to keep Fyrfad as nice as it is right now. We have no obligations towards our members, only one: every member has to fulfill a voluntary contribution. You can do this by joining a committee, but also by collecting old paper once on a Wednesdaymorning.
The board offers 3 options for fulfilling your voluntary obligation during one season. When you don’t use this options and haven’t fulfilled your voluntary obligation by the end of the year, we will charge you with 15 euros.
Joining a committee is not just helping Fyrfad, it is also a great learning experience for yourself! It is always a lot of fun to join a committee. Site committee
Are you good with computers, internet and do you want to join a committee with the 4 ‘hottest’ guy’s from fyrfad: Richard, Joost, Jasper en Rik? And with the 3 hottest girls: Maartje, Caro and Loes? Editorial committee
Three times a year, the editorial committee will make ‘het fyrblad’, a magazine special for fyrfad members with every latest gossip, photo’s, funny stories and a lot more! This committee also makes the ‘smoelenboek’, where you can find all the adorable faces from every fyrfadmember. The Financial control committee

Tournament committee
The tournament committee organises every tournament of Fyrfad. We organize twice a year an intern tournament for fyrfad members and also the ‘nachttoernooi’ . This is a tournament where you can play volleyball all night long and is also for people who are not from Fyrfad. This year, we have to search a new location for ‘het nachttoernooi’ , so if you have great ideas for a new location, or would like to organize a tournament? PR- and Sponsor committee
For all the great activities Fyrfad organizes, we need money and sponsors. That is what we, the PR-sponsor committee do! Also we contact companies to arrange discount especially for fyrfadmembers (see sponsors) . Do you talk easily and do you want to arrange money for Fyrfad? INKOM committee
The INKOM: the largest studentparty of Maastricht! Every association, also Fyrfad, organizes a lot of activities, drinks a lot of beer and will party like a rock star for 4 days! Technical committee
For all volleyball related issues, Fyrfad has a technical committee (Tec). This committee not only allocates all matches and practices but also assigns every player to a team. The 2nd and 3th week of the new curriculum the instuif takes place. During the practices these two weeks, the Tec assesses the skill level of all players and assigns them to a corresponding team. During the season the Tec is the organ which manages all volleyball related tasks and is the main contact for the Dutch Volleyball Association (NeVoBo). Policy committee
This committee warants the long term policy of fyrfad and consist of experienced members who know a lot of the organization of Fyrfad. Along with the current boardmembers the policy committee forms a committee that interviews new board applicants and tries to form a capable board each year.
